No. 5 Women’s Track & Field Receives Multiple PRs at RIT

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
The nationally ranked No. 5 Ithaca College women's track & field team continued to produce top marks in Division III on Friday at a tri-meet with RIT and Rochester, which was hosted by RIT.

Juliann Terry and Sara Altonen each cleared 3.75 meters in the pole vault to finish 1-2 and better their top 10 qualifying marks on the year.

Ithaca went 1-2-3 in the 1500-meter run as Lindsay Scott led the way in a time of 4:48.27, while Maggie Nickerson followed in 4:51.02 and Lauren Lodbell clocked in at 4:53.86.

Katelyn Hutchison won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.78 seconds. Parley Hannan dominated the 10000-meter run with the No. 1 time in the nation at 34:12.50, which was more than four minutes fastest than the runner-up.

Sara Brown prevailed in the long jump with a mark of 5.35 meters, while Molly Sear finished in third at 4.96 meters.

IC's 4x100-meter relay team of Brown, Hutchison, Ayenaliz Velasquez and Lachenmayr were the runners-up at 49.34 seconds.

Ariyahna Bernard was a first place finisher in the shot put at 12.26 meters, while Samantha Healy took second at 11.87 meters. Ashanti Stanley took third in the triple jump at 10.16 meters, while Grace Clark came in fourth at 10.01 meters and Isabella Lambert was fifth at 9.74 meters.

Katharine Downey was a second-place runner in the 200-meter dash in a time of 29.05 seconds, while Pearl Hettich took fourth in 30.05 seconds. Meredith Garrity claimed first in the 5000-meter run in 19.12.39. Madeline Adzigian registered a second place showing in the javelin at 36.26 meters.

Ithaca took six of the eight top spots in the 800-meter run. Nickerson finished second in 2:18.94, Scott claimed third in a time of 2:19.77 and Paloma De Monte was fourth at 2:20.68. Lobdell finished sixth in 2:25.59, while Sophia Roy posted a time of 2:25.97 to come in sixth, and Giana Haubrich secured eighth at 2:29.20.

Lauren Rullo posted a time of 17.46 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to finish in third, while Abbey Stowell was fifth in a time of 17.81 seconds. Katarina Gomez finished the 400-meter dash in a time of 59.33 seconds.

Stanley clocked in at 14.43 in the 100 dash to take fourth, while Julia Tomanovich placed sixth in the 1500 at 5:18.04. Ava Fowler finished third in the 10K at 38:18.26. Gabrielle Schlessinger cleared 1.45 meters in the high jump to finish third.

Gwen Gisler was fourth in the pole vault at 3.50 meters, Jamie Rossig took fifth at 3.20 meters and Julia Nomberg was sixth with a mark of 2.90 meters.

Adzigian came in fourth in the hammer throw at 36.91 meters, while Liana Shames measured out 29.70 meters in the discus to place fifth. Kalena Yearwood was seventh in the shot put at 9.07 meters and finished seventh in the hammer at 42.76 meters.

Ithaca is back in action tomorrow at Cortland.
