RESULTS
GENESEO, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 4 Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in its second meet in as many days as the Bombers traveled to SUNY Geneseo for a tri-meet with Rochester on Saturday.
Logan Bruce won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.07 seconds, while
Katelyn Hutchison finished second in the 400-meter dash at 57.07 seconds which is good for No. 4 in Division III. Bruce also won the high jump at 1.57 meters.
IC made its presence known in the shot put, as the Bombers took four of the top six spots.
Ariyahna Bernard was first at 13.14 meters, while
Samantha Healy came in second with a mark of 12.08 meters.
Abbey Stowell measured out 10.91 meters to finish in fourth, while Bruce was sixth at 10.24 meters.
Ithaca nearly swept the podium in the pole vault with the top five placements.
Juliann Terry finished first at 3.50 meters,
Sara Altonen was second at 3.35,
Gwen Gisler cleared 3.35 to come in third,
Julia Nomberg was fourth at 3.20 and
Jamie Rossig was fifth at 3.05.
Healy finished atop the field in the hammer throw at 50.98 meters, while Bernard followed in second with a mark of 50.51 meters.
Liana Shames was third at 44.09 meters.
Moriah Byrd won the javelin with a mark of 31.35 meters.
Sara Brown, Hutchison,
Sarah Lachenmayr and
Ayenaliz Velasquez won the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 49.55 seconds.
Brown won the long jump at 5.23 meters, while Nomberg was fourth with a mark of 4.97 meters.
Isabel Johnston was a second place performer in the steeplechase with a time of 12:20.80. Shames measured out 34.06 meters in the discus to come in third, while Healy was fifth at 33.53 meters.
Grace Clark,
Sydney Strelec and
Lauren Rullo went 3-4-5 in the 100 hurdles in times of 16.92, 17.29 and 17.36 seconds.
Katharine Downey was a fifth place runner in the 400 at 1:03.64.
Madison Martinez clocked a time of 1:15.30 in the 400-meter hurdles to secure fourth overall.
Molly Sear registered a mark of 10.69 meters in the triple jump to come in third, while
Gabrielle Schlessinger took third in the high jump at 1.47 meters.
Katarina Gomez and Lachenmayr posted times of 26.84 and 27.15 seconds in the 200-meter dash to place fourth and fifth.
Kalena Yearwood posted a mark of 41.08 meters in the hammer to finish in sixth and was sixth in the discus at 30.76 meters. Clark came in seventh in the triple jump at 10.27 meters, while Ashanti Stanlery was eighth at 9.78 meters. Stowell finished eighth in the high jump at 1.32 meters and Strelec was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.91 meters.
The Bombers head to RIT next Friday for a tri-meet and other members of the team will compete at Cortland next Saturday.
