RESULTS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The nationally ranked Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams took part in the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks Invitational on Friday evening, April 16. The women are currently ranked No. 7, and the men were No. 22 heading into this week but dropped out.
The invitational portion of the meet featured multi-divisional colleges, including Binghamton, Le Moyne, Siena, Roberts Wesleyan, Brockport, Geneseo and Houghton.
IC began competition at 8 p.m. this evening with the women's 800-meter invitational run.
Lindsay Scott finished third in a time of 2:16.63, while
Maggie Nickerson trailed in fourth with a time of 2:18.22.
Lauren Rullo and
Rachel Rose went 8-9 in the race with times of 2:20.79 and 2:21.30.
In the men's 800,
Zachary Wachs took sixth in 1:58.38 and
Conor Ryan finished in seventh at 1:58.63.
Stephen Malenowski clocked in 1:59.90 to place ninth overall.
Parley Hannan posted a second place showing in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:31.04, while
Sophia Roy finished in eighth in 4:57.44.
Kelly Farrell ran in the 5,000-meter invitational and finished 15th overall in 19:12.68, while
Chris Singer led the way on the men's side in 10th with a time 14:51.88. Â
The remainder of the two teams will compete at Geneseo tomorrow in a tri-meet beginning at 11 a.m.
