RESULTS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – For the first time in exactly one year, the Ithaca College women's track & field team returned to action as the Bombers traveled to Nazareth College on March 6 and picked up right where they left off in 2020. Ithaca, which was ranked in the top five nationally all last indoor season, amassed 261 points over 16 events to win the meet by 166. A total of six teams competed on Saturday.
St. John Fisher College finished second 95 points, while Nazareth came in third at 92 points. Sage Colleges took fourth with 48, Houghton College was fifth with 39 and Alfred University rounded out the field with 38.
Ithaca claimed first place honors in 13 of the 16 events on the day and tallied double-digit points in all but one event.
Senior
Parley Hannan posted the most impressive performance for the Bombers, as she won the 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:40.29, which was more than two minutes faster than the runner-up. Hannan also moved to the top of the Division III leaderboard in the 5K, which surpassed the previous best time by 10 seconds.
Junior
Logan Bruce also put together a tremendous 2021 debut as she won the high jump at 1.62 meters (5 feet, 3.75"), the long jump at 5.56 meters (18' 3") and was first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.05 seconds. With those marks and times today, Bruce is seventh in long jump, 12th in high jump and 13th in 60 hurdles.
Junior
Katelyn Hutchison took first in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash with times of 26.57 seconds and 59.74 seconds. Hutchison's 400 time is good to move her into 17th in Division III.

Meghan Matheny took top honors in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.50 meters (11' 5.75"), which was good for 15th in the country. First-year

Juliann Terry followed in second and third at 3.35 meters (10' 11.75") and 3.20 meters (10' 6").
Junior
Lauren Lobdell competed in the 800-meter run and claimed first in 2:18.56 to move into 16th on the DIII list.
Seniors
Samantha Healy and
Ariyahna Bernard went 1-2 in the weight throw with marks of 15.98 meters (52' 5.25") and 15.92 meters (52' 2.75"). Fellow senior
Liana Shames finished in fourth at 14.25 meters (46' 9").
The duo of Healy and Bernard flipped in the shot put as Bernard claimed first at 12.20 meters (40' 0.5") and Healy was second with a mark of 12.02 meters (39' 5.25"). Shames placed seventh with a toss of 10.34 meters (33' 11.25").
Graduate student
Lindsay Scott was a first place performer in the mile at 5:22.28.
Ithaca's distance medley relay team of Lodbell, Hutchison, Scott and Hannan breezed through the event at 12:32.41 to move into seventh in the nation and top the field by nearly two minutes.

Rachel Rose clocked a first place time of 4:15.92.
Gomez also ran in the 200-meter dash and crossed the line just behind Hutchison in 26.96 seconds, and was second in the 60-meter dash in 8.12 seconds.
Sophomore
Grace Clark measured out 10.60 meters (34' 9.5") in the triple jump to place second overall, while senior
Molly Sear took third in a mark of 10.46 meters (34' 4"). Clark also took third in the 60 hurdles at 10.45 seconds.
Rose secured third in the 800 at 2:23.66, while sophomore
Katharine Downey placed third in the 400 at 1:04.90.
Sophomore
Sara Brown secured third in the long jump with a leap of 4.91 meters (16' 1.5"), while classmate
Moriah Byrd posted a fourth place showing at 4.79 meters (15' 8.75"). Sear rounded out IC's entries in the event with a mark of 4.68 meters (15' 4.25") to come in sixth.
Brown also clocked a time of 8.39 seconds in the 60 to place fourth.
Sophomore
Meredith Garrity came in fourth in the 5K at 19:26.73, while senior
Kelly Farrell followed in fifth at 19:30.98. Tomanovich was a fifth place runner in the 800 at 2:28.54.
Bernard and Byrd tied for sixth in the high jump at 1.42 meters (4' 7.7.5"). Sophomore
Ayenaliz Velasquez came in seventh in the 60 at 8.51 seconds and eighth in the 200 with a time of 29.46 seconds. Byrd also finished eighth in the 60 at 8.62 seconds.
