The Ithaca College softball team won a close contest against St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament semifinals, winning the game by a score of 2-1. With the win, Ithaca advances to the Empire 8 Championship Game.
 
The Bombers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, and that 1-0 lead carried them through to the top of the fourth when St. John Fisher tied the game. Ithaca added one more run in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure the 2-1 victory. 
 
Freshman Lindsay Galli had a huge day for the Bombers as she went 2-for-3 with one double. Junior Maddie Kraemer went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Freshman Zahida Sherman picked up her 13th win of the season for Ithaca. 
 
Ithaca will wait and see who they play in the Empire 8 Championship game as St. John Fisher will face RIT at 10 a.m. May 1 at Kostrinsky Field.
