Ithaca vs Rochester, 2004

The Ithaca College softball team tallied two victories in its doubleheader against the University of Rochester, winning 4-0 in the first game and 3-0 in the second game. With both wins, the Bombers are now 6-6 on the season.
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 4, Rochester 0

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third when Ithaca scored one run, and then added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. In adding one final run in the bottom of the fifth inning, Ithaca secured the victory. 
 
Junior Maddie Kraemer paved the way for the Bombers offensively by going 2-for-3 with one RBI and a double. Freshman Zahida Sherman had a great day on the mound, as she only allowed three hits and had five strikeouts. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 3, Rochester 0

Ithaca scored first in the bottom of the first innings to give themselves a 1-0 lead. The Bombers then scored in the bottom of the third and fifth innings, while the Americans never got on the board. 
 
Junior Abbey Pelot recorded her second straight shutdown, as she only allowed three hits and tallied four strikeouts throughout all seven innings. Through both contests, freshman Cat Ebert went 4-for-6 with three extra-base hits. The Bombers will host St. John Fisher in an Empire 8 doubleheader at 3 p.m. March 30 at Kostrinsky Field.
