The Ithaca College softball team swept SUNY Geneseo in its doubleheader, winning both games by scores of 4-0. With both wins, IC is now 20-11 on the season.

All four runs were scored in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Bombers. Jenn Marro, sophomore Leigh Bonkowski, and freshmen Mel Chinigo and Cat Ebert all had one RBI for IC, and Bonkowski hit her 13th double of the season.
Freshman Zahida Sherman is now 11-5 on the season with the win in Game 1. She only allowed six hits and struck out seven. She threw her team-best seventh shutout of the season and has thrown 12 complete games in 13 starts. She has not allowed an earned run in her last 34 innings pitched.
Game 2 | Ithaca 4, Geneseo 0
Ithaca got on the board first as they scored one run in the bottom of the second inning. The Bombers did not strike again until the bottom of the fifth inning when they scored one run, and then quickly followed that up with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
IC capitalized off Geneseo's four errors, as the Bombers scored four runs off just three hits. Junior Maddie Kraemer led the Bombers with two RBI. Junior Abbey Pelot picked up her 10th win of the season for the Bombers, and she is now in a three-way tie for fifth place on Ithaca's all-time wins list with her 36th career victory.
The Bombers will travel to Cornell University to face off in one last non-conference doubleheader before the Empire 8 tournament starts. The games will start at 10 a.m. April 27 in Ithaca, NY.
