The Ithaca College softball team lost to Cortland in extra innings, losing 4-3 in 10 innings. With the win, Cortland advances to the Division III Softball World Series.
By the end of the second inning, the game was tied 2-2. It would remain tied at two until the ninth inning, when both the Bombers and the Red Dragons scored one run to tie the game at 3-3. Cortland scored one more run in the bottom of the tenth to secure the victory.
Freshman Zahida Sherman finished the year with a record of 16-8. She pitched 9.1 innings while giving up 11 hits and striking out three. Junior Maddie Kraemer led the Bombers in scoring as she went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
