The Ithaca College softball team swept Alfred University in its doubleheader, winning the first game 10-0 and the second game 8-0. The highlight of the day was freshman Lindsay Bryar and Zahida Sherman combined to throw a no-hitter in game one, while junior Abbey Pelot threw a one-hitter in the second game.

With both wins, the Bombers are now 14-10 on the season.Â

Game 1 | Ithaca 10, Alfred 0
Ithaca scored quickly in the top of the first by taking a 5-0 lead. With five more runs scored in the third, the Bombers won the game in six innings. In total, IC had nine hits on the day.Â

Freshman Cat Ebert put on an offensive show for the Bombers as she went 2-for-3 with one double and three RBI. Bryar and Sherman had a combined three strikeouts in the game.

Game 2 | Ithaca 8, Alfred 0
It took just five innings for IC to defeat Alfred in this contest. IC jumped out quickly just like they had in the first game by scoring five runs in the first inning. Ithaca then added one run in the second and two runs in the fourth to secure the win.Â

Sophomore Kaitlyn Dulac and Hannah Shalett each hit a home run during Game 2, and they are tied for the most home runs this season with four apiece. Pelot got the win for IC after she pitched four innings with one strikeout and only allowed one hit.Â

The Bombers will host Buffalo State for a non-conference double header starting at 1 p.m. April 18 at Kostrinsky Field.Â
