Brisman, Caldicott Receive the 2020 NSCA All-American Athlete Award

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is proud to announce Ben Brisman from Ithaca College wrestling and Liza Caldicott from women's crew as 2020 All-American Athlete Award recipients. This award recognizes Brisman's and Caldicott's athletic accomplishments and their dedication to strength and conditioning. Nominated by Coach Vic Brown, Brisman's and Caldicott's determination to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at Ithaca College.
 
"We are proud to have Vic Brown join the NSCA in its mission to safely improve athletic performance," says Eric McMahon, NSCA's Coaching Program Manager, "Supporting our student-athletes like Ben and Liza guarantees a stronger future for the NSCA."

"Liza is a hard worker inside and outside of the weight room. She does nothing but excel at everything she does and inspires others to do the same," said student assistant coach Brady Hoyt. "In the classroom, she gives just as much heart and enthusiasm, making her not only a great student, but making her classmates better and more empowered. She gives relentless commitment to her school and her team. A woman who truly embodies what it means to be a student athlete."

"Ben is a great standard for commitment and consistency. His success is due to repeated efforts day in and day out. Named to both the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) All - Academic Teams, Ben excels on and off the mat. Persistent in pursuit of excellence, Ben became the wrestling programs 12th NCAA Individual National Champion," stated Brown.
