TROY, N.Y.- Liberty League Commissioner Tracy King has announced that 267 winter sport student athletes have qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams in their respective sports for the 2019-2020 season.
Â
For Ithaca College, a total of 35 student-athletes represented the Bombers across six teams.
Â
The Liberty League's winter championship sports include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30. The Liberty League elevated the GPA requirement from 3.20 to 3.30 in 2016-17 to follow the established standard for eligibility for CoSIDA Academic All-America awards.
Â
"The Liberty League takes great pride in the academic success our student-athletes," said King. "Our student-athletes have always demonstrated that it is possible to not only excel academically, but to achieve athletically at the highest level in Division III. I congratulate and salute them on their outstanding achievements."
