The Ithaca College softball team swept both of its games against New York Tech, winning the first game 3-0 and the second game 5-4.

Ithaca scored one run in the third inning to take an early 1-0 lead. The Bombers added two runs in the top of the fourth inning to give them the winning 3-0 score.

Senior Lisa Stellato went 2-for-4 with one RBI and senior Tam Ray led the Bombers with three hits as she went 3-for-4.

Senior Vicki Scott pitched a three-hit shutout in the win.

New York Tech jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Bombers scored one run in each of the second and third innings to tie the game. Ithaca added two runs in the top of the fourth inning to take its first lead of the game and extended that lead to 5-2 with one run in the top of the fifth inning.

Junior Maureen Charros went 2-for-3 in the contest. Sophomore Jo Burruby recorded four strikeouts and only allowed two hits in the win.
