The Ithaca College softball team defeated The College at Brockport twice, winning the first game 4-3 and the second game 5-4.

With the game tied at 3-3, Ithaca scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The game was scoreless until both teams scored one run in the fourth inning to make the score 1-1. The Bombers scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and Brockport tied the game with two runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Dee Dee Mayes led the Bombers offensively as she went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Sue France had one RBI as well as she went 1-for-5.

M.E. Alger pitched all nine innings and only allowed seven hits in the win.

Game 2 | Ithaca 5, Brockport 4

The Golden Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning to take an early lead, but the Bombers cut the lead to 2-1 with one run scored in the top of the fourth inning. Brockport extended its lead with two runs scored in the bottom of the fourth inning, but Ithaca scored two runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings to take the 5-4 win.

Karen Stegenga led the Bombers with three RBI as she went 2-for-2. Debbie Walton went 1-for-3 with one RBI and Lisa Alhers went 1-for-2 with two runs scored.

Andi Woodbury only allowed seven hits through seven innings pitched.
