The Ithaca College softball team swept Army in both games of its doubleheader, winning the first game 11-1 and the second game 4-0.

Ithaca scored two runs in the second inning and three runs in the third inning to take an early 5-0 lead after the third inning. The Bombers added three runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 8-0. Army's lone run came in the bottom of the fifth inning, but Ithaca responded with three more runs in the sixth inning to make the score 11-1.

Sophomore Anne Sammis went 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Junior Maureen Charros had three hits as well as she went 3-for-4 with two RBI and junior Janis Finn went 2-for-4.

Senior Vicki Scott had one strikeout and pitched a four-hitter in the win.

The Bombers struck first with two runs in the first inning and one run in the second inning to give themselves a 3-0 lead in the second inning. Ithaca's final run came in the top of the fourth inning.

Charros went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and three stolen bases. Sophomore Debbie Delahunt went 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Sophomore Jo Burruby struck out seven batters and only gave up four hits in the win.
