The Ithaca College softball team lost to Rowan University by a score of 4-2 in the Bombers' first game of the NCAA Regional.
 
Ithaca scored both of its runs in the top of the third inning to take an early lead, but Rowan responded with four runs in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 4-2.
 
Both of Ithaca's runs came from senior Mildred Piscopo, who finished the day going 1-for-3 with two RBI. Senior Carol Buckheit and freshman Debby Smith both went 1-for-3 with one run scored.
 
Senior Kathy Volpi recorded four strikeouts and only allowed eight hits in the loss.
