The Ithaca College softball team defeated Western New England University by a score of 14-2.
 
Both teams scored one run in the first inning to make the score 1-1. Ithaca added four runs in the third inning to take the 5-1 lead and the Golden Bears scored one run in the fifth inning. The Bombers scored nine runs in the sixth inning to take a commanding 14-2 lead.
 
Junior Marybeth Progno hit a three-run single as she finished the day going 1-for-4. Freshman Kelle Jo Rolfe went 3-for-4 with two RBI and freshman Kim Lamoureaux went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Sophomore Amy Bannon hit a two-run double as she went 1-for-4.
 
Freshman Heather Ware pitched a one-hitter and recorded two strikeouts in the win.
