The Ithaca College softball team fell to SUNY Cortland by a score of 12-4.
The Red Dragons scored five runs in the first inning to take an early lead and added three runs in the second inning to go up 8-0. Ithaca scored its first run in the third inning, but Cortland responded with one run in the third inning to make the score 9-1. Both teams scored three runs in the fifth inning to make the score 12-4.
Junior Marie Higby went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. The other RBI in the game from junior Amy Bannon went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Freshman Kristin Letourneau picked up the loss as she only allowed three hits through 1.7 innings pitched.
