The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader against The College at Brockport, winning the first game 4-1, but losing the second game 2-1. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 4, Brockport 1
 
Ithaca jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and maintained that lead heading into the fourth inning as the Bombers tacked on another run. Brockport tried to make a comeback in the seventh inning but could only muster one run. 
 
Freshman Kim Lamoureaux went 2-for-3 with one RBI and junior Marie Higby went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Senior Deb Smith and junior Marybeth Progno both went 1-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Freshman Heather Ware only allowed five hits through seven innings pitched. 
 
Game 2 | Brockport 2, Ithaca 1
 
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Golden Eagles scored both of their runs to take the 2-0 lead. Ithaca tried to score enough runs in the seventh inning to tie the game, but could only score one run. 
 
Higby had the team's lone RBI of the game. Sophomore Heather Afarian had a great day at the plate as she went 3-for-4 and freshman Maura Keenan went 2-for-3. 
 
Ware only allowed seven hits and had one strikeout in the loss. Ware is now 13-10 on the season.
