Ithaca vs Brockport, 1988

The Ithaca College softball team won both of its games against The College at Brockport, winning the first game 3-1 and the second game 11-7.
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 3, Brockport 1
 
Ithaca struck first with one run in the bottom of the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. The Bombers added two runs in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 3-0. Brockport's lone run of the contest came in the top of the seventh inning.
 
Senior Wendy Jo Haft went 1-for-3 with one RBI and freshman Marie Higby had one RBI as well as she went 1-for-2 with one run scored.
 
Junior Julie Wilcox only allowed six hits and recorded eight strikeouts in the win.
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 11, Brockport 7
 
Ithaca jumped out to a huge 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but the Golden Eagles scored three runs in the top of the second inning to cut the lead to 5-3. Both teams scored four runs in the fourth inning to make the score 9-4, and the Bombers tacked on two final runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
 
Senior Gretchen Lynch went 3-for-3 with three RBI and Wilcox hit a three-run triple as she finished the day going 1-for-2. Freshman Amy Bannon had one RBI as she went 1-for-4 and Higby went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
 
Wilcox picked up another win as she only allowed two hits and recorded two strikeouts.
