The Ithaca College softball team lost both of its games against The College of New Jersey, losing both games by a score of 11-1.

TCNJ scored one run in the first inning to take an early lead and the Bombers responded with their lone run of the game in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1. From the second inning on, the Lions dominated the game as they took the lead in the bottom of the second inning with two runs scored.

TCNJ scored four runs in each of the fourth and sixth runs to take the 11-1 lead.

Seniors Heather Afarian and Stacy Swiger both went 2-for-3 and junior Maura Keenan had one hit as she went 1-for-3. Juniors Kim Lamoureaux and Missy Foley both went 1-for-3.

Senior Stacy Johnson only allowed 10 hits and recorded two strikeouts through 5.3 innings pitched.

Ithaca took the lead in the third inning with one run scored, but TCNJ responded with five runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth inning to secure the 11-1 lead.

Foley went 1-for-2 with one RBI and Keenan went 1-for-2 with one run scored.

Swiger pitched her first game of the season as she gave up 11 hits in the loss.
