Ithaca vs Cortland, May 8, 1992

The Ithaca College softball team was eliminated from the NCAA Northeast Regional by a 5-1 loss against SUNY Cortland.
 
The Red Dragons scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead and the Bombers cut the lead to 2-1 with one run scored in the top of the third inning. Cortland scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the 5-1 lead.
 
Senior Stacy Swiger went 2-for-3 and senior Heather Afarian went 1-for-3 with one run scored. Juniors Jo Leiva and Kristin Letourneau both went 1-for-3 in the game.
 
Senior Stacy Johnson only allowed six hits and recorded two strikeouts in the loss. The Bombers finished the 1992 season with an overall record of 20-11.
