The No. 4 Ithaca College softball team lost to Springfield College by a score of 3-2.

Ithaca was leading 2-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, but Springfield scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the 3-2 lead.

The Bombers scored one run in the top of the second inning to take an early lead. Springfield tied the contest in the bottom of the fifth inning to force the game into extra innings. The Bombers took the lead in the top of the eighth inning before Springfield won the game.

Freshman Kristin Furdon went 2-for-3 with one RBI and senior Julie McGraw went 1-for-2. Sophomore Laura Remia had one hit in the game as she went 1-for-4 with one run scored.

Junior Robin Bimson only allowed seven hits and recorded five strikeouts in the loss.
