Ithaca vs Brockport, 1999

The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader against The College at Brockport, winning the first game 14-1, but losing the second game by a score of 4-2.
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 14, Brockport 1
 
Brockport took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning, but the Ithaca bats dominated throughout the rest of the game. The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the third inning to take the lead and then added one run in the top of the fourth inning to extend the lead to 4-1.
 
Ithaca capped off the game with three runs scored in the fifth inning and seven runs scored in the sixth inning to secure the 14-1 win.
 
Senior Cheryl Wah led the team with three RBI as she hit her first home run of the season. She finished the game going 2-for-5 with one run scored. Senior Julie McGraw hit her fifth double of the season as she went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Sophomores Laura Remia and Lindy West each had two hits and one RBI.
 
Junior Robin Bimson only allowed three hits and recorded four strikeouts in her 11th win of the season.
 
Game 2 | Brockport 4, Ithaca 2
 
Ithaca scored both of its runs off a two-run home run by Remia in the top of the third inning. The Bombers maintained that 2-0 lead until the fourth inning when Brockport scored all four of its runs to take the 4-2 lead.
 
Remia finished the day going 1-for-3 with two RBI. Senior Sharon Orchard and junior Vanessa Montorsi both added one hit as well.
 
Junior Christie Davis only allowed four hits and had four strikeouts throughout the game. She is now 6-3 on the season.
