The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, winning the first game 6-0 and the second game 7-0.

The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Bombers scored two runs to take a 2-0 lead. In the top of the seventh inning, Ithaca tallied four runs to secure the 6-0 win.

Sophomore Lori Fazio went 1-for-3 with two RBI and junior Mairin Dudek went 1-for-5 with one RBI. Sophomore Kim Stephens went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored.

Sophomore Abby Hanrahan pitched a one-hitter and recorded four strikeouts in the win. It is her fifth shutout of the season and her third shutout in the last four starts.

Sophomore Rachel Meth pitched a perfect game as she gave up no runs and no hits throughout seven innings pitched. This is Meth's second no-hitter of the season.

The Bombers scored their first runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 2-0 lead. Ithaca added three runs in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 5-0 and scored two more runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure the 7-0 win.

Senior Laura Remia had an impressive game at the plate as she went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run scored. Junior Kim Sebastiao went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored and Dudek added one RBI as well.
