The Ithaca College softball team won its third straight regional title and advanced to the Division III World Series with a 5-0 win against SUNY Oneonta.

Ithaca scored two runs in the third inning as senior Laura Remia singled down the third base line to score sophomore Alison Cole. With a throwing error in the play, sophomore Lori Fazio also scored for the Bombers to take a 2-0 lead.

Freshman Kerri Barber hit her first home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run shot to left center. Heading into the sixth inning, Ithaca was up 4-0. The Bombers scored their last run in the sixth inning as sophomore Liz Yentema scored on a throwing error.

Remia finished the day going 1-for-3 with one RBI and Barber went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Yentema had two hits as she went 2-for-3 with one run scored.

Sophomore Abby Hanrahan pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts in the win. She had a perfect game headed into the seventh inning.

The Bombers advance to the NCAA Division III World Series in Eau Claire, Wis.
