The No. 10 Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Lesley University, winning the first game by a score of 24-0 in five innings and the second game 18-0.

Ithaca scored an impressive nine runs in the first inning and followed that up with eight runs scored in the second inning to take an early 17-0 lead. The Bombers added two runs in the third and three runs in the fourth inning to extend the lead. Ithaca finished the contest with two additional runs in the fifth inning.

Freshman Michelle DeFrehn went 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run scored and sophomore Kim Sebastiao hit her first home run of the season as she went 2-for-5 with four RBI. Junior Mairin Dudek had four hits on the day as she went 4-for-5 with three RBI and four runs scored. Sophomore Kim Stephens added three RBI and three runs scored as she went 2-for-4.

Sophomore Abby Hanrahan recorded nine strikeouts and only allowed two hits through five innings pitched. The Bombers are now 3-3 on the season

Ithaca scored a season-high 13 runs in the first inning to take an early lead. The Bombers added three runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning to make the score 18-0 by the fifth inning.

Junior Kristin Furdon hit a three-run double as she finished the day going 1-for-1 with two runs scored. Stephens also hit a three-run double in the contest and freshman Sara Durant went 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Sophomore Rachel Meth picked up her first win of the season as she pitched a no-hitter through five innings and recorded six strikeouts.
