Ithaca vs Alfred, 2001

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Alfred University, winning the first game 5-0 and the second game 6-2.
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, Alfred 0
 
Ithaca scored one run in the first inning to take an early lead and added another run in the third inning to make the score 2-0. The Bombers scored two additional runs in the sixth inning and one final run in the seventh inning to secure the 5-0 win.
 
Senior Laura Remia went 2-for-2 with two RBI and junior Kim Sebastiao went 2-for-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Sophomores Liz Yentema and Alison Cole both had one hit with one RBI.
 
Sophomore Abby Hanrahan only allowed one hit throughout seven innings pitched and recorded eight strikeouts.
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 6, Alfred 2
 
Alfred got on the board first with one run scored in the first inning. Both teams scored one run in the third inning for Alfred to take a 2-1 lead.
 
The Bombers scored four runs in the sixth inning, which was highlighted by Remia's sixth home run of the season. Ithaca's final run was scored in the top of the seventh inning.
 
Remia finished the game going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Junior Mairin Dudek added one RBI as well.
 
Hanrahan picked up her 16th win of the season as she only allowed three hits and had five strikeouts through seven innings pitched.
 
With the sweep, the Bombers are now 20-9 on the season.
