The Ithaca College softball team won the Empire 8 Softball Tournament by defeating St. John Fisher College 2-1. With the win, the Bombers earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. 
 
Ithaca jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Bombers scored once more in the top of the third to take a 2-0 lead. St. John Fisher scored in the bottom of the fifth. 
 
Sophomore Kerri Barber had a massive day at the plate for the Bombers, as she finished the day going 2-for-3 with both teams' two RBI off two doubles. 
 
Junior Abby Hanrahan pitched the whole game, only allowing five hits and striking out nine. She is now 16-7 on the year.
