Ithaca vs St. John Fisher, 2002

The Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader with St. John Fisher College, losing the first game 3-0, but winning the second game 6-2. Even with the loss, the Bombers are still in first place in the Empire 8 standings. 
 
Game 1 | St. John Fisher 3, Ithaca 0
 
All three of St. John Fisher's runs came in the top of the fifth. The Bombers were unable to score any runs throughout the game, despite out-hitting St. John Fisher 3-2. 
 
Freshman Sara Coddington, junior Alison Cole and senior Mairin Dudek each recorded one hit in the contest. Junior Abby Hanrahan pitched a two-hitter and struck out five. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 6, St. John Fisher 2
 
The Bombers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second. St. John Fisher responded with one run in the bottom of the third to cut the lead, but Ithaca went up 4-1 in the fourth inning. St. John Fisher scored once more in the bottom of the fifth, but the Bombers scored two final runs in the top of the seventh. 
 
Senior Kristin Furdon went 3-for-4 in the game while junior Lori Fazio went 2-for-4 with one RBI. 
 
Freshman Abbey Pelot picked up her 10th win of the season. She allowed seven hits and struck out one.
