The Ithaca College softball team opened its season with a 6-0 loss to Simpson College. 
 
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when Simpson scored four runs. After adding two runs in the sixth, the Storm clinched the 6-0 victory. 
 
Junior Lori Fazio went 2-for 3 in the contest. Junior Abby Hanrahan got her first loss of the season as she finished the game pitching four innings and striking out two.
