Ithaca vs RIT, 2002

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology, winning the first game 4-2 and the second game 5-0. With both wins, Ithaca remains undefeated in conference play. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 4, RIT 2
 
Ithaca scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning and one run in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. The Tigers responded with one run of their own in the fifth and sixth innings to cut the lead to 3-2. Ithaca scored one more run in the bottom of the sixth to extend the lead to 4-2. 
 
Freshman Sara Coddington went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Senior Kristin Furdon and juniors Alison Cole and Liz Yentema each added one RBI as well. 
 
Junior Abby Hanrahan picked up her 10th win of the season as she only allowed seven hits and struck out 10 batters. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 5, RIT 0
 
The Bombers scored one run in the second, third and fifth innings to take a 3-0 lead. Ithaca added two more runs in the seventh while the Tigers could never put a run on the board. 
 
Furdon went 2-for-2 with two RBI and one triple, while junior Kim Stephens went 1-for-4 with two BI and one double. 
 
Freshman Abbey Pelot pitched the whole game for the Bombers, only allowing three hits and striking out four.
