The Ithaca College softball team starts the season 0-2, losing to Lake Forest by a score of 10-5. The Bombers outhit Lake Forest 11-9 during the contest. 
 
The Bombers got on the board first and took an early 2-0 lead. Lake Forest responded with five runs in the top of the second. Ithaca cut the lead to 5-3 with one run in the third, and the game stayed at that score until the fifth inning. 
 
Lake Forest added two runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth. Ithaca responded with one run in each of those innings as well, but Lake Forest scored one more run in the seventh and the Bombers could not make the comeback. 
 
Senior Kristin Furdon went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Senior Kim Sebastiao went 3-for-3 with one RBI and two doubles.
