The Ithaca College softball team defeated King's College 2-0 in the team's first game of the NCAA Division III Softball Northeast Regional.
Highlighting the performance was junior Abby Hanrahan, who only allowed four hits during the contest and struck out a career-high 15 batters.
One run was scored in the first and second innings for the Bombers. Senior Kristin Furdon hit her 10th home run of the season with a solo shot and junior Alison Cole also had a solo home run.
Ithaca is scheduled to play the winner of the SUNY Geneseo/Manhattanville College matchup.
