Ithaca vs RPI, 1993

The Ithaca College softball team swept both games of its doubleheader against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, winning the first game 9-1 and the second game 11-5. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 9, RPI 1
 
The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when the Bombers scored two runs. Ithaca added four runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-0 lead. RPI's lone run came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
 
Senior Kim Lamoureaux went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Senior Maura Keenan 1-for-3 with two RBI and freshman Jeanine Bleau went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored.
 
Senior Heather Ware only allowed three hits and recorded three strikeouts in the win. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 11, RPI 5
 
RPI took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and Ithaca scored two runs in the third inning to cut the lead to 3-2. The Engineers scored two more runs in the third inning to take a 5-2 lead. 
 
The Bombers scored five runs in the fourth inning and three runs in the fifth inning to take the 10-5 lead. Ithaca's last run came in the sixth inning. 
 
Freshmen Jennifer Hoselton and Jennifer Blum both had three hits in the second game with two RBI. Bleau had two RBI as well, finishing the game going 1-for-5 with a two-run home run.
 
Ware gave up eight hits and had one strikeout.
