The Ithaca College softball team finished in third place in the NYSWCCA Playoffs, defeating the Rochester Institute of Technology by a score of 2-1. 
 
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when RIT scored its first run. In the fifth inning, the Bombers scored both of their runs to take the 2-1 lead. 
 
Freshman Jeanine Bleau went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Senior Maura Keenan went 1-for-2 on the day and junior Chris Pettograsso went 1-for-3 with one double. 
 
Senior Kim Lamoureaux was a first-team All-State softball selection and senior Missy Foley was a second-team selection. Lamoureaux finished the season with a .404 batting average with a team-leading 37 RBI. Foley had a .336 batting average. 

The Bombers finish the season with a 17-16 overall record.
