The Ithaca College softball team fell to the University of Mount Union by a score of 3-0 in the team's first game of the 1993 season. 
 
Mount Union scored two quick runs in the first inning and added a third run in the second inning to take the 3-0 lead. 
 
Senior Christine Schoenweitz went 2-for-3 during the contest. Senior Kim Lamoureaux and sophomore Sindie Shollenberger both went 1-for-3. 
 
Senior Heather Ware allowed six hits and recorded two strikeouts in the loss.
