The Ithaca College softball team defeated Hamilton College in the first game of the NYSWCAA playoffs, defeating Hamilton by a score of 9-3.
Ithaca scored four runs in the first inning and added one run in the second inning to take a 5-0 lead. All three of Hamilton's runs came in the third inning to cut the lead to 5-3. The Bombers scored one run in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to take the 9-3 lead.
Sophomore Sindie Shollenberger went 2-for-3 with three RBI and senior Kim Lamoureaux went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Senior Jo Levia had two RBI in the contest as she finished the game going 1-for-4.
Ware allowed eight hits and recorded one strikeout. She is now 16-15 on the season.
