Ithaca vs Cortland, March 12, 1993

The Ithaca College softball team defeated SUNY Cortland by a score of 9-7 in eight innings. 
 
The game was tied 5-5 headed into the eighth inning as the Bombers scored four runs in the eighth inning to take a 9-5 lead. The Red Dragons scored two runs in the eighth inning but could not score enough to force a ninth inning. 
 
Ithaca scored first in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead and Cortland tied the contest with one run in the second inning. The Red Dragons took a commanding 5-1 lead after they added four runs in the third inning. 
 
The Bombers cut the lead to 5-2 in the fifth inning and then added three runs in the seventh inning to tie the game. 
 
Freshman Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Junior Chris Pettograsso went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Senior Missy Foley had an incredible four hits on the day as she finished the day going 4-for-5 with four runs scored. 
 
Senior Heather Ware recorded one strikeout and only allowed seven hits through eight innings pitched.
