The Ithaca College softball team fell to Alvernia University by a score of 8-6.
Both teams scored two runs in the first inning to tie the game at 2-2. Ithaca scored four runs in the second inning to take a 6-2 lead, which the Bombers maintained until the sixth inning when Alvernia scored six runs to take the lead.
Junior Chris Pettograsso went 1-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored and freshman Jennifer Blum had one RBI as she went 1-for-3. Freshman Jeanine Bleau added an RBI as she finished the game going 1-for-2.
Senior Heather Ware struck out two batters and gave up seven hits through six innings pitched.
