Ithaca vs RIT, Empire 8 Tournament, 2003

The No. 18 Ithaca College softball team won its third straight Empire 8 championship, defeating RIT 9-0 in six innings. With the win, the Bombers earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. 
 
The game was scoreless until the top of the third when Ithaca put one run on the board. The Bombers added three runs in the fourth and then tallied an impressive five runs in the top of the sixth. Ithaca finished the game with 13 hits.
 
Sophomore Sara Coddington went 2-for-2 with two RBI in the contest. Freshman Kaitlyn Dulac went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double. Senior Liz Yentema also had an impressive day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
 
Senior Abby Hanrahan is now 16-5 on the season. She pitched six innings while only allowing five hits and striking out four.
