Ithaca vs Oneonta, 2003

The Ithaca College softball team swept Oneonta in its non-conference doubleheader, winning the first game 5-0 and the second game 10-4. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, Oneonta 0
 
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when the Bombers put two runs on the board. Ithaca added one more run in the fifth and two more in the sixth inning to secure the victory. 
 
Sophomore Maddie Kraemer went 1-for-2 with two RBI, while senior Kim Stephens and sophomore Sara Coddington each added one RBI. 
 
Senior Abby Hanrahan pitched a one-hitter as she was in the circle the whole game and struck out four. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 10, Oneonta 4
 
The Bombers scored quickly, going up 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning. Oneonta responded with two runs in the top of the third to cut the lead. 
 
Ithaca scored six runs throughout the fourth and fifth innings to extend the lead to 9-2. Oneonta scored two runs in the top of the sixth to make the Ithaca lead 9-4, but the Bombers scored one more run in the bottom of the sixth. 
 
Freshman Leigh Bonkowski went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while junior Sara Durant went 2-for-4 with two RBI. The biggest day at the plate came from Stephens, who went 3-for-3 with three RBI with a home run. 
 
Sophomore Abbey Pelot pitched all seven innings. She only allowed six hits and had three strikeouts. With the win, Pelot is now 8-3 on the year.
