The No. 1 Ithaca College softball team lost its first game of the season against the University of Mount Union by a score of 1-0. 
 
Mount Union scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. Mount Union finished with two hits, while the Bombers had five hits, but could not score any runs. 
 
Senior Abby Hanrahan earned her first loss of the season. She pitched six innings and only allowed two hits while striking out four.
