Ithaca vs King's, NCAA Northeast Region Playoffs, 2003

The No. 16 Ithaca College softball team defeated King's College in its first game of the NCAA Northeast Region Playoffs, winning the game 7-3. 
 
King's got on the board first with one run in the top of the first inning. King's added one more run in the second, but the Bombers scored three runs in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead. 
 
King's tied the game in the top of the fourth, but Ithaca quickly retook the lead in the bottom of the fourth and extended their lead in the fifth and sixth innings by adding three more runs. 
 
Senior Liz Yentema hit her first home run of the season against King's. She finished the day going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Adding an RBI each was junior Kerri Barber, senior Kim Stephens, and freshmen Leigh Bonkowski and Kaitlyn Dulac. 
 
Senior Abby Hanrahan earned her 17th win of the season as she pitched all seven innings and struck out seven.
