The Ithaca College softball team won its first game in the Empire 8 tournament, defeating Elmira 8-0 in five innings. 
 
Ithaca scored one run in the first inning and then two more in the bottom of the second. The Bombers had a massive five-run inning in the third and Elmira could not score any runs to play past five innings. 
 
Junior Sara Durant went 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. It is Durant's 17th double on the season, tying the school record. Senior Liz Yentema went 2-for-2 with two RBI in the contest.
 
Sophomore Abbey Pelot picked up her 12th win of the season as she only allowed four hits and struck out four.
