The No. 16 Ithaca College softball team fell to No. 4 Cortland by a score of 4-3. With the loss, Ithaca will face Union in an elimination game to stay in the playoffs.
Cortland had a 2-0 lead headed into the bottom of the fifth inning, but the Bombers scored two runs to tie the game. Cortland added two more runs in the top of the seventh. Ithaca had one last chance to tie the game, but the team could only score one run.
Senior Kim Stephens went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Senior Abby Hanrahan pitched all seven innings in the contest, only allowing six hits and striking out three.
