Ithaca vs Scranton, 1994

The Ithaca College softball team won both games of its doubleheader against the University of Scranton, winning the first game 5-2 and the second game 5-4. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, Scranton 2
 
The Bombers scored two runs in the top of the second inning and added three runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead. Scranton scored one run in the fourth inning to cut the lead to 5-1 and then tacked on another run in the bottom of the seventh inning. 
 
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-3 with two RBI and freshman Ellen Mullin went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Senior Chris Pettograsso added one RBI as well. 
 
Freshman Nicki Swan only allowed six hits and recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts in the win. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 5, Scranton 4
 
Ithaca scored two runs early in the first inning to take the lead, and the Bombers added another run in the top of the third inning. Ithaca tallied two more runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the 5-0 lead. Scranton scored all four of its runs in the bottom of the sixth but could not score enough to tie the contest.
 
Mullin went 2-for-4 with one RBI and Bleau went 1-for-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Sophomore Marie Kelly added one RBI as well. 
 
Swan picked up her ninth win of the season as she pitched 1.3 innings and recorded two strikeouts. Junior Susan Reid pitched 5.7 innings of relief as she struck out seven batters.
