The Ithaca College softball team defeated the University of Mount Union 3-2.
Headed into the seventh inning, the game was tied at 2-2 and the Bombers scored the winning run in the top of the seventh inning.
Mount Union struck first with one run in the bottom of the first inning, but Ithaca tied it in the top of the second inning. The Bombers took the 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning and Mount Union tied the contest 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth.
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau paved the way for the Bombers offensively, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. Freshman Tracy Welliver went 1-for-3 with one RBI and freshman Marie Kelly added an RBI as well.
Freshman Nicki Swan picked up her first collegiate win as she pitched four hits through seven innings and recorded six strikeouts.
