Ithaca vs Elmira, 1994

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Elmira College, winning the first game 11-3 and the second game 17-0. With both wins, Ithaca is now 26-11 on the season. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 11, Elmira 3
 
Ithaca took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and added two runs in the second inning to take a 3-0 lead. Elmira scored two runs in the second inning to cut the lead to 3-2, but Ithaca scored two more runs in the third inning to make the score 5-2. 
 
The Bombers scored four runs in the fourth inning to extend the lead and Elmira tacked on one run in the fifth inning. Ithaca's final two runs came in the sixth inning. 
 
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-4, which included one home run, with three RBI in the first game. Senior Chris Pettograsso also hit a home run in the contest, finishing the game with one hit and two RBI. Sophomore Marie Kelly went 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. 
 
Freshman Nicki Swan pitched a three-hitter and had five strikeouts in the win. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 17, Elmira 0
 
The Bombers scored six runs in the first inning and four runs in the second inning to take an early 10-0 lead. Ithaca added five runs in the third inning and scored two runs in the fourth inning to make the score 17-0. 
 
Sophomore Jennifer Blum paved the way for the Bombers offensively as she went 3-for-3 with one double and one home run. She finished the game with six RBI and two runs scored. Freshman Tracy Welliver had a big day as well, going 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. 
 
Swan went 2-for-2 with three RBI and three runs scored and Bleau went 2-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored. 
 
Swan gave up four hits and recorded three strikeouts.
