The Ithaca College softball team defeated Eastern Connecticut State University by a score of 8-1 in the NCAA Northeast Regional. 
 
ECSU scored one run in the first inning to take an early lead, and the Bombers responded with six runs in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead. Ithaca's other two runs came in the fourth inning. 
 
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a triple. Freshman Nicki Swan went 1-for-3 with two RBI and freshman Ellen Mullin went 1-for-4 with one RBI. 
 
Swan pitched a two-hitter through seven innings and recorded one strikeout in the win.
