The Ithaca College softball team defeated Cornell University for the second time this season, winning the contest by a score of 8-0 in six innings.
Ithaca scored one run in the first inning and then scored two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to take a 5-0 lead. The Bombers added three runs in the sixth inning to make the score 8-0.
Sophomore Jeanine Bleau went 2-for-4 with three RBI and freshman Nicki Swan went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Sophomore Marie Kelly had three hits and three runs scored.
Swan finished the game with a three-hitter and recorded nine strikeouts in the win.
This was the last game of the Bombers' regular season. They have qualified for the NCAA Northeast Regional in Willmantic, Conn.
